Beyond Belief were one of the first doom/death metal bands to emerge from Holland and they were based around members of Dead Head and Asphyx. Formed in Kampen, Holland back in 1986 the band released a couple of demos and two full length albums before calling it a day in the late 90s. Their second and last album Rave The Abyss features some great atmospheric riffs that perfectly mix Troubles heavy doom riffs with slow death metal with a superb production forged in the early 90s. The band also had strong songs which made them stand out amongst all other stuff that came out from that country at the same time.
