Bjorn Skifs 1979 album Split Vision is a pop soul album. By this time in his career he had already been in the business for more than 10 years and was also on his way to start doing television, movies and comedy. He had released several Swedish Top Five (Firefly in 1976; Lady in 1977) and Top Ten tracks (Härligt, Härligt Men Farligt, Farligt in 1978 and Det Blir Alltid Värre Framåt Natten in 1978) and not to mention his 1974 American chart-topper Hooked On A Feeling, credited to the band Blue Swede (also known as Blåblus in Sweden). That track came from his album Pinewood Rally that is one of his strongest albums. Bjorn Skifs also competed in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1978 so the expectations for his 1979 album Split Vision was high. The album was a good seller even if no tracks reached the charts. Bjorn would become one of the most loved people in Sweden thanks to TVs, movies but he was a singer firstly, and a damned fine one too. If you like it when Bjorn rocks out then just listen to the opening track Lack Of Courage. With musicians such as Janne Schaffer, Bengt Palmers, Lasse Wellander, Anders Nordh (from Life) and several others its an underrated album that need to be re-discovered.
