Black Sabbath had a reputation for being a great live band and that their shows was something of a mystical experience. In all honesty 50 years down the line the mysticism might be gone but experience Black Sabbath live is still a great experience as this album from the Paranoid Tour at Theatre 140, Brussels, Belgium on October 3rd, 1970 proves. Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford once said, Paranoid is important because it’s the blueprint for metal. It led the world into a new sound and scene. So its great to see that 5 of the 9 tracks on this set list are from that particular album. And even though War Pigs always will stand as one of the band’s best songs, it’s also gratifying to hear live versions of songs like Behind The Wall Of Sleep and Fairies Wear Boots. Still wondering if its worth buying? Dont we all need to to be kicked in the head by classic Sabbath again and again. This is an excellent album, showing a young band on the way up, raw vibrant energy coursing through each track and you will aso hear Ozzy sing alot of the original lyrics to War Pigs instead of the ones that ended up on the studio album.
