German promo cd released without sleeve.

Overseeing The Nightfall is an extremely rare German fan club promo release. Circle Of The Bards was Blind Guardians official fan club and it was run by Kai Karczewski from his home in Hamburg but the band members themselves also invested a lot of time in the fan club. Members got signed photos, stickers, newsletter and previews of upcoming Blind Guardian albums. This was a rare treat and the first time it happend was for the Imaginations From The Other Side where the fan club sent out a tape of previews clipse from the album. And when The Forgotten Tales was released in 1996 then the fan club members had been spinning a tape of material from the album for more than a month before the release date. Tape seems to have been a history by the time the band was ready to release their 1998 album Nightfall In Middle-Earth. Instead the fan club sent out this pro-printed cd with snippets from 8 of the tracks from the album and the cd had a running time of just above 10 minutes. The Circle Of The Bards started to fell apart in 2003 and on the 1st of May 2004 the band officially announced that the fan club was a thing of the past:

Hi everybody,
A lot of you have been complaining about our fanclub and the way it was working (or not working) last year. We are absolutely aware of the situation and we are as unsatisfied as you are, but unfortunately we dont see a way to keep the Circle Of The Bards running the way was in the past anymore. For that reason we came to the conclusion to dissolve the fanclub. Thanks for your understanding.
