Blind Guardian Plays Beach Boys is a rare German promo release. Some of these went through the Circle Of The Bards club which was Blind Guardians official fan club, run by Kai Karczewski from his home in Hamburg. The fan club members had already gotten a tape of snippets with material from The Forgotten Tales album a month before the release date. The Circle Of The Bards started to fell apart in 2003 and on the 1st of May 2004 the band officially announced that the fan club was a thing of the past:

Hi everybody,
A lot of you have been complaining about our fanclub and the way it was working (or not working) last year. We are absolutely aware of the situation and we are as unsatisfied as you are, but unfortunately we dont see a way to keep the Circle Of The Bards running the way was in the past anymore. For that reason we came to the conclusion to dissolve the fanclub. Thanks for your understanding.
