Formed in 1992 by guitarist Mike Wead (Hexenhaus) and vocalist Messiah Marcolin (Candlemass). Wead brought along most of the Hexenhaus line-up, but Memento Mori is far from another Hexenhaus. The bands third album, La Danse Macabre, was released in 1996 and its the only album that doesnt feature the vocals of Messiah. Here we have ex-Tad Morose, ex-Bloodbound vocalist Kristian Andren and the material here features some of the bands darkest and heaviest moments. It’s a bit more upbeat tempo but still the true excellence in doom.
