Description

1994 double cd

Still On The Road Far East Tour 1994 by Bob Dylan consisted of 14 dates, starting on the 5th of February in Sendai Japan and after 11 shows in Japan it continued with gigs in Malaysia, Singapore before ending in Hong Kong on the 25th of February. Dinner In Osaka, was released by the record label Cherry Blossom (who released three shows from this tour Breakfast In Yokohama, Lunch In Tokyo and Dinner In Osaka) and it was recorded at the Osaka-Jo Hall in Osaka on the 12th of February (6th show of the tour). During this period, the playing is generally tight and speedy, with JJ Jackson’s solid guitar and Bucky Baxter’s pedal steel adding exquisite nuances to the songs. Dylan is also high-energy, his unique vocal style shines through, and as the live performance progresses, his vocals become more emotionally charged and passionate, and he is friendly with a Thank you after each song, even the introduction of the band members in the middle of Maggie’s Farm is cool. The album also features 6 bonus tracks taken from the Far East Tour. 3 tracks from the Tokyo show on the 20th of Febrruary and the Nagoya show on the 11th of FEbruary
