Bothers: a band from Macerata, Italy that have been around since 2003 with 2 demos and a self released private live EP under the belt. The band have gone through several line-up changes during the early years but now it seems like they have find a stable line-up in time for their debut album ‘No Way Out’. Released in March of 2009 its an album loaded with angry, aggressive music with your typical thrash metal themes of death, violence and social issues. This should please all fans of old school thrash as it is a solid offering of pure violent and extreme thrash. ‘No Way Out’ features 9 songs of staggering riffs and fiery solos that conjure a modern prowess in parts but never leaves the platform of good old thrash. These songs are well recorded and will pound you into submission. With thick heavy tones, militant bass lines, frantic vocals and savage drumming this magnetic piece of warlike assaults is a perfect example of what thrash sounds like. ‘No Way Out’ stays the course of established thrash metal of the mid eighties with a pure and bright posture with only one track (Psycho Bitch) venturing of the beaten trail with it’s bluegrass (is that a banjo I hear) influence in the opening moments. Bothers know what they like and deliver it with intense and forceful levels of aggression. Extreme thrash metal, attacking societies dominated by mass-medias, giving insight to visions of a violent world and chaotic insanity in general is what Bothers represent. This is pure Thrash the way is should sound.
