Rövsvett and their now legendary “Jesus Var En Tome” single, released back in 1985, was one of those band that got me into the tougher form of punk and hardcore. And even though The Bristlers, from Landskrona, seems to have been around as long as Rövsvett their music never showed up among my friends back in my youth and their music passed me by. So with a split single featuring new music from these two bands it was obvious Rövsvett that i was most curious to hear. When listening to their first track “En Jävla Skitig Dag” you feel like you could have been back in the 80s again. The years may have passed by but you wont notice. Rövsvett is very consistent and this is a short and fast song just like in the past. Their second track “Lille Fega Adolf” is another classic and could even be among the best tracks the band ever did. The Bristles used to perform raw streetpunk with Oi! influences. The tracks here however sounds a lot dirtier then before and they are all drenched in d-beats. The Bristles tracks here goes by fast and not only are they strong songs they also features some great vocals by Tobbe. An overall amazing single that you just need to ad to your collection if youre into d-beat hardcore and punk
