Brogrens is one of the most popular Swedish dance acts. The band was formed in 1958 and at the start Jan Erik Brogren called the band Teddyboys and they played rock n roll at that time. The band were then mostly famous under the name ‘Trivs Me Brogrens’. In 1997 they made their most famous hit of their career. The track ‘Vi Har Vatt I Oja’ were number 1 on the local chart for a whole year. The band at the time were called Skanska Brogrens. The bands sixth album was released in 1979 under the name ‘Brogren Me Teddyboys’ and the title of the album was ‘Gamla Godingar’. On this album Brogren have turned back to his Teddyboys roots and are playing classic rock n roll tracks translated to Swedish. Brogrens have on this album made their own versions of tracks originally recorded by artists like Elvis Presley, Fats Domino, Little Richard, Chuck Berry to name a few.
