Bruce Springsteen’s Born In U.S.A was a massive hit and the following Born In The U.S.A Tour would gross $80–90 million overall and the album would stay inside the top 10 on the Billboard 200 list during the entire tour. The tour would be Springsteens longest and most successful tour to date. The tour started in June 1984 and this show was filmed at the CNE Grandstand in Toronto on the 26th of July so its quite early into the tour. The tour wouldnt finish until October of 1985. The tour was the first since the 1974 portions of the Born To Run tours without guitarist Steven Van Zandt, who decided to go solo after recording the album with the group. Van Zandt, who was replaced by Nils Lofgren, would appear a few times throughout the tour and in some of the music videos to promote the album. It was also the first tour to feature Springsteen’s future wife, Patti Scialfa. This show from Toronto features the first version of Trapped and Sherry Darling would be dropped from the setlist after this evening. Two hours of Springsteen supporting his biggest selling album to date. A must have for any Springsteen fan
