Carola has been one of Swedens most popular and enduring schlager singers for well over 20 years. After an album with the metal group Standby she entered the Swedish version of Eurovision in 1983 with Framling (Stranger) and became a megastar overnight. A few years later and several chart topping albums and single it was time to break the artist outside of Sweden. A collaboration with the Bee Gees took place and the result was the 1986 album Runaway. The album was produced by Maurice Gibb and the songs were written by him together with Robin and Barry Gibb. The album peaked at number 2 in Sweden and number 9 in Norway. Fans of Bee Gees should check this out. Its Disco pop from the late 80s which today can be seen as both better or worse.
