Description

Greek music cassette. Clear cassette with black paper label. Limited 50 numbered copies

Ceremonial Worship is a black metal act founded in 2016 by High Priest CW in Athens Greece. The band debuted with this strictly limited 6 track cassette in the spring of 2017. The band combines the ritualistic heaviness of Hellenic black metal with Nordic coldness, hypnotic repetitions, and a production that sounds more like a damp basement than a high-gloss, air-conditioned studio. Anyone who associates Greek black metal solely with Rotting Christ , Varathron, or Necromantia will find a significantly harsher interpretation here. High Priest CW leads the guitars with cold, intricate, and at times surprisingly majestic riffs. After this debut demo CW would found a vocalist which would take the band to a new level. This band aren’t reinventing Hellenic black metal, but they deliver an honest, dark, and interesting demo.
