Poland, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Russia were all countries that released lots of tapes in the early to mid 90s. A label that joined late in Ukraine was Gala Studio (also known as Gala Records). The label made an agreement with DAASP of Ukraine in 1997 and produced cassettes for a few years. The label was based at the Kharkiv Highway 201-203 in Kiev / Kyiv City. There was also a Russian label with the same name formed in 1988 based at the Staraya Basmannaya building in Moscow. The Russian label was bought by Warner Music Group in 2013 who renamed it Warner Music Russia. Several compilation and best of cassettes and cds were released in Russia and Ukraine with the Gala Records logo that doesnt seem to have been authorized by Gala Records or the bands

As the tumultuous 1960s crashed into the 70s, few American bands could match the fevered output, unified vision, and consistent hit-making ability of Creedence Clearwater Revival. The band, behind the vision of leader John Fogerty, created a unique synthesis of punchy rock n roll, swamp pop, blues, and country. At the dawn of the 1970s, CCR were at their commercial peak, riding a string of hit albums and singles that had placed them in the upper echelon of American rock music. However they had signed a lousy contract with Fantasy Recofds something that was a big reason the band fell apart in 1972. For an impressive five-year period, they had performed at the top of their game, leaving behind a deep catalog of studio albums and hit songs and their tune Fortunate Son was added to the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress, in 2013, for its cultural and historical significance. This 21-track compilation shows how rich the bands song catalogue is.
