Description
D.A.D released their first EP in 1985 and has now been together for almost twentyfive years, with only one change in the lineup, as Laust Sonne replaced former drummer Peter Lundholm Jensen in 1999. D.A.D has two things most bands wish they could have, an instantly recognizable singer in Jesper Binzer and an instantly recognizable and original sound. In case you haven’t heard D-A-D before the best way to describe the sound is AC/DC meets cowpunk. Their 10th album ‘Monster Philosophy’ kicks off with ‘Revolution’ after a short intro it blasts off into a foot stompin’, head banging feast with a very cool solo from guitarist Jacob ‘Cobber’ Binzer, all the while letting the listener sing right along with the band. The album includes a lot of tracks that sounds like later D.A.D have done but then there’s tracks like the title track that has a different sound that could be remixed and ended up being a dance version or the much better ‘Milk & Honey’ that is more of the classic D-A-D sound reminding me of past songs like ‘Hate To Say I Told You So’ & ‘Down A Dusty 3rd World Road’. Track listing: 1. Revolution 2. Nightmares in the daytime 3. Too deep for me 4. Beautiful together 5. Monster philosophy 6. Milk and honey 7. You won't change 8. If you had a head 9. I am the river 10. Chainsaw 11. Money always takes the place of life 12. Nightstalker 13. If I succeed 14. House of fun
