DIV was established by Sergei Taidakov “Lysyi” (Bald) and Viktor Lemkov “Alkash” (Alcoholic) as a hard rock project in earlier 80s in Moscow. After a few years the formation was disabled while Viktor was completing his military service. Only in Spring of 1987 DIV was reactivated with more powerful thrash metal sound. After some line-up changes in 1988 the band recorded the first demo Dyavoskii Shabash/Devils sabbath. In 1991 they released a second demo Mien Kampf. A few songs from that historical demo were played by a local Moscow radio station SNC brining more attention to the band. Most of songs from this demo were included on the bands debut album, with the same name, released by Moroz Records with an historical cover artwork. The band has continued to release albums since that. Most of them are in the thrash metal field with a Russian touch. This album is a compilation of their best material released between 1988 and 1995. The album also includes four tracks from the bands debut demo Devils Sabbath from 1988. Collectors of Eastern European thrash metal need this one
