Glenn Danzig ambitious project Black Aria was released in 1992 and it debuted at the top spot on Billboard’s classical music chart. In 2006 Danzig released Black Aria II. This time Danzig took his theme from the infamous Lilith, the first wife of Adam, and how she would not submit to Adam. One should listen to this album the same way that Black Aria should be listened, in the dark, from start to finish without interruption. This is certainly a worth follow up, however if one goes into this album expecting another Black Aria then you will be left down. This is not Black Aria 1, it is Black Aria 2 and when being judged by the listener’s ear should be free of any expectations or standards that are held for the first Black Aria.
