Description
Black and blue haze vinyl with gatefold cover
This album is not a traditional Danzig album but rather a dark composition of orchestra music and vocals. This was an attempt to expand on the more atmospheric excursions of How The Gods Kill. Glenn Danzig composed this mostly instrumental work, which was heavily influenced by opera and classical music. Tracks 1-6 are a concept saga inspired by John Milton’s epic poem Paradise Lost, a retelling of the fall of the angel Lucifer, while the second half delves into Celtic mythology. The music is like a dark opera with occasional wordless female vocals enhancing the feel of the music; by turns profoundly moving. Black Aria does do a good job of evoking a mood of melancholy darkness and check this out and have an open mind, you may really dig it. It notably debuted at the top spot on Billboard’s classical music chart.
