Darkness Eternal is a one man project from Canada run by George Velateis of The Chasm. After two albums Velateis moved to Usa before recording this third album, Misanthropic Annihilation, released in 2005. The album feels more matured and is the best album he has released so far. Majestic sweeping death metal with subtle black metal influences and lots of melody and great riffs. Even though this album devoid all old-school elements and sounds modern its still an amazing death metal album. I know not many have heard of this band but its a well crafted death metal offering and an album that most bigger names, in the genre, wished they had released. Darkness Eternal definitely deserves more recognition. ,Goerge Velateis has shown his brilliance.
