Dautha is a new act from Griftegård’s Ola Blomkvist. Anyone who knows Blomkvist know that it will be a quite gloomy affair. This time he finds inspiration from the medieval history of Europe. Were not talking about glorious battles and happy dinners at huge castles. No this is about the hardlife of the ordinary man. Gloom, doom and misery. Scar Symmety vocalist Lars Palmqvist provides the voice that lifts this above the drudgery of the forlorn music. Guest musician Åsa Wärnberg has added some haunting but beautifully violin that gives this doom music that extra spark. Den Förste is the bands first demo that now has been re-pressed on a silver pressed disc and its a stunning start. Fans of My Dying Bride, Griftegård and Candlemass need to check this out. Could be the next big thing on the doom scene.
