Dead Sun was a mid tempo death metal act formed by Rogga Johansson that fell apart after just two demos in the late 90s. Rogga then decided to bring the band back to life in 2005. 18 years later the band released their seventh album, Soul Diseased. The album starts with Sjuk Själ, a catchy track that immediately puts sharp but melodic leads in the foreground, sometimes replaced by fierce vocals, perfectly matching the heady basis. Throughout the album you will hear the bands Swedish roots. The album comes with incredibly catchy melodies and riffs in the vein of Edge Of Sanity, early Cemetary, Illdisposed, Furbowl and even Entombed’s Wolverine Blues.
