Poland is probably the country that had the most record labels in the world that only released cassettes. But even though there were lots of labels the market was still small as they only printed these for their own market inside of Poland. And a label in one town maybe lacked the distribution for another town and so on. A Warzaw or Krakow label might print more copies of a tape then labels from a smaller town. So even if there are thousands of releases you will notice how rare some are if you start to try to list the catalog number of one particular label. Some cassettes just rarely shows up. Baron is a Polish label that started at the beginning of 1990 as Baron Music mainly producing cassettes. The labels first logo was a green smiling dragon face with blond hair. Then in 1991 they changed the logo to a trotting horse. The label then progressed into a more legal incarnation and changed name to Baron Records in 1992. The label was based in the town of Piekary Slaskie, near Katowice, in the southern part of Poland. Around 525 tapes was released before they changed name to Baron Records

To be perfectly honest, this horribly recorded Death Angel live album should have never seen the light of day, especially coming off the heels of the band’s best album and major-label debut, Act III. But, because they had flown the coop of Enigma Records a bit early in order to sign with Geffen, the once promising Bay Area thrashers still owed their original label one more album, hence this ill-advised release. Featuring the highlights from their first two releases, the record may have still possessed some merit had not the performance chosen by the label (perhaps on purpose) been so sloppy and uninspired. While it collects such early favorites as “Bored,” “Kill As One,” and “Guilty of Innocence,” it still could have been so much more. It was recorded at the Paradiso in Amsterdam, Holland on the 9th of July 1988
