Death Tyrant was a melodic black metal band from Vänersborg formed in 2009. In the line-up we find two Backelin brothers, Anders and Thomas, from Lord Belial. The released their debut demo in 2010 and followed itup with the Opus De Tyranis full length album in 2013. After that the band seems to have split up. Having members from Lord Belial should give you a passing idea what to expect: blackened yet atmospheric metal with progressive touches at times. You can hear traces from the Swedish black metal roots and its comparable to bands like Sacramentum, Naglfar and Dissection. This is well performed black metal with furious riffs, double bass and blast beats all over it. If you still crave for mid 90s Swedish black metal then this will fit perfect in your collection. With the members involved you know it will be well performed and fans of Lord Belial have no excuses for not buying this one. Check it out
