Representing a second generation of bad spelling, Germany’s Desaster took their name from Destruction’s classic track Total Desaster and, like their inspiration, showcased a black metal-leaning style of post-thrash throughout their early career. Much of this took place in relative obscurity, though, since the band founded in the town of Koblenz in 1988 only managed to release their debut album, A Touch of Medieval Darkness, an incredible eight years later. During these first 8 years the band released some demos. This box set features two of those demos and a live cassette featuring an unreleased concert reccorded in Dessau back in 1995.
