Dhaubgurz is a Spanish one man band formed by Hermod, who also plays/played with black metal acts such as Cyhiriaeth, Panzerfrost and Carcharoth. The debut demo, Forest Of Souls, was released in 2004. This is cold and dark black metal and Hermod’s voice is really dark, distant and cold. However its the great guitar work that sets the tone and feeling. Overall a cold black metal demo with very well worked melodies. Fans of Finnish acts such as Satanic Warmaster, Sargeist, Calvarium or Swedish acts such as Armagedda or Norwegian acts such as old Ulver and Windir and ofcourse anyone interested in the Spanish underground scene will find things to like here.
