Distrainers from Leicester started otut as a punk band but quickly moved to a heavy metal sound. This NWOBHM act released a three track demo and a vinyl single without picture sleeve in 1979. The band then changed name to Alien and released two more demos before switching back to the Distrainers name. Only the most die-hard Nwobhm fan that tries to find it all probably own this rare single, which means that most fans out there never have heard this band. Now comes an album that will change that. Green Unpleasant Land features 13 tracks and among them we have rare and never released demos. Here you have seminal hard rocking tunes with a high dose of early punk attitude so you can hear the transgression from punk to one of the most meaningful and exciting movement in the history of rock and music, The New Wave Of British Heavy Metal.
