So Eric Peterson from Testament decides to make a symphonic black metal album and are joined by a great line-up musicians like Jon Allen (Sadus), Lyle Livingston (Psypheria), Steve DiGiogio (Testament/Death) and Steve Smyth (Testament/Death). The name Dragonlord might misled many that think this is a power metal act. Rapture is a mixture of Black Metal and Thrash that celebrates a little more than a half-hour is a sidereal hour of extreme Metal. Even though you can detect a few parallels to late Dimmu Borgir, Dragonlord sound a little more extreme, especially in the sometimes furious parts. The technical, but incredibly fast drumming is highest level! Eric has taken over the vocals and he has a voice that really suites dark music.
