Legendary punk band Dropkick Murphy’s returned in 2003 with their fourth album Blackout. This album has that signature Celtic-infused punk style and balls to the walls attitude that Dropkick Murphys is famous for. One of the hardest songs to record ws Gonna Be A Blackout Tonight with lyrics written my famous folk musician Woody Guthrie. Nora Guthries son is a fan of the band and approached his mother about letting the band use some of Woodys lyrics. The band wanted and also managed to put their own sound to it and it differs a lot compared to Woodys version. There is also a video version of the tune on the bonus dvd
