Description

Original 1982 press on Stranded Records

Easy Action was first formed in 1981 with Pelle Almgren (ex-Warheads), Henrik Jermsten (ex-Stoodes), Bosse Belsen (Bo Stagman ex-Belsen Boys) and Björne Fröberg (ex-Warheads) with the aim to be the ultimate rock band. The band acted like rock stars at local pubs but didnt get anywhere musically until Bosse and Björne were replaced by Skox from TV3 and Ubbe from Lustans Lakejer. Thanks to Ubbe’s contacts (through Lustans), they managed to get Stranded Records interested in releasing a single – Honcho Bongo. Despite low sales figures for the debut single, the band got another try with the single Om Jag Vore Kung. After low sales figures even for the second single, the band split up and Skox and Henrik Jermsten formed Psyhedelic Mongo and Pelle Almgren started writing songs for other projects. In 1983, Bosse Belsen (now called Zinny J. Zan) asked if he could use the name for a band consisting of himself, Kee Marcello, Danne Lagervald, Fredrik Von Gerber and Peo Thyrén. The style was glam and punk just like the previous edition of Easy Action, but now there were also noticeable Sweet influences in the sound. This line-up had already signed a contract with Sanji Tandan and they were soon able to sell out shows at the Ritz which gave them a worldwide deal with Warner Brothers. The whole world was now open and ready to be conquered, but thats another story.
