Ebba Grön was not the hardest punk band in Sweden, after the two first records it was hardly punk at all but during their five years together they almost single-handedly managed to bring Swedish punk rock into the spotlight, and they became more popular than any other bands in that genre, before or after. A decade and a half after their breakup they were still uncontested as the kings of Swedish punk. Their third and final album Ebba Görn was released in 1982 and its the only album released with Stry Terrarie from Kriminella Gitarrer on keyboards. The album contains the famous ballad Die Mauer, which is about the Berlin Wall and it would become one of Ebba’s most popular songs. The band drifted away from their early punk sound and tracks like Flytskoda and so on sounds more like pop than punk. The band was in some sort of crisis around this time as Thåström and Fjodor had musical differences as they would say, and the following year the saga was over.
