Russian death metal act Eclipse was formed in October of 1993. They released their first demo ‘Ride Of Grave’ in December the same year. That demo consisted of 2 tracks but the band was still struggling to find the right line-up. A few changes occurred and their second demo ‘Bloody Pathology’ was released the following year. The demo cassettes does well with the Russian underground scene and the band soon find themselves playing with other Russian bands like Pandemia, Anal pus, Mortum and D.B.T. The band starts to work on their next opus ‘The Symphonys Of Pathological Love’ before calling it a day. The album hits the streets in 1996 on cassette format only and it gets well received. Orpheus starts the band again with a new line-up and works on a new album but the band cease to exist again in 1997. At this time Orpheus are caught up with his NS ideology and he has a hard time to find musicians that he feels share his opinions and are professional musicians. He tries to stir up a new project with his old member Konstantin Mogilny but it soon fails. Orpheus goes on and makes a solo project where he puts his thoughts to dark ambient music. This 1996 cassette became a much sought for classic in the Russian death metal underground scene so Blacksmith productions finally released it on cd in 2006. The album has undergone a number of new mixes and a remastering however the original sound has been kept as much as possible. This was a welcome release to the Russian fans that reminded them of the old glory days and it did well in their home country. Most people however have missed out on this band completely so maybe it will find its new fans as it is a part of the early historical stages of Russian death metal
