Edguy set a high standard when they released ‘Mandrake’. The band were on the upright way, but with the peak with Mandrake was it then time to go down? What we have on ‘Hellfire Club’ is the symphonic work from ‘Mandrake’ mixed with the power metal structure of all the previous Edguy albums. The music is very good on this album. The songs have structure, something Edguy has been doing for awhile now. The riffs and solos are typical Edguy style. The way the drum beat, mixes with the drumming is supreme on this album. In my opinion ‘Hellfire Club’ matches the ‘Mandrake’ standard now we wonder if they can outmatch ‘Hellfire Club’ on the next album!. The album also features a version of Mysteria with Mille Petrozza from Kreator as guest vocalist
