Description

Double album on black vinyls with gatefold cover and 3 bonus tracks

German atmospheric black metal act Eis was formed as Geist and released three highly-praised albums full of atmospheric black metal before changing name in 2010 to Eis. Their 2015 album, Galeere, represents a quantum leap for the six musicians: not only does the album contain the most unfathomable and darkest material in the band’s history, but also their most atmospheric and epic moments. This album expresses the beautiful forsakenness and infinite extent of the sea as a sanctuary, but also its indomitability and diversity, its threat and hostility. The ambient ocean and the sailing noises makes you feel the void above and the abyss below. Then comes the ice cold riffs and atmosphere that makes you feel like youre lost at sea. This album should put them among the top of Germanys leading black metal bands
