Like a trip into ancient times of barbarism with enough psychedelics to last you ’til the Middle Ages. Elder is a potent concoction of swirling, groovy, heavy-as-sh*t riffs, pounding percussion, and heathen vocal work destined to please the gods of holy smoke. Tracks are long and progressive, vocals are few but effective. The album sounds a bit experimental compared to the two later works, which are also worth grabbing. Elder brings forth a saga of varied and nefarious hymns ready to conquer new territories.
