Description

Elvira Madigan is a Swedish based solo venture of former Andalucia/Ethnocide member Marcus H. Madigan (a.k.a. Marcus Hammarström), evolving during December 1998. This debut cd was released through Hammarström’s own Northlore label. This second studio album basically continues where the first one left off. Building on top of a foundation of melodic Black Metal, Marcus Hammarström again creates very variable soundscapes, which also take up elements from other Metal- and Rock-sub-genres and also doesn’t neglect a certain Gothic atmosphere, everything united to a homogenous whole, which neither is marred by progressiveness nor an uncohesive line of stylistic elements.
