Description
A miraculous cross-time collaboration between The King himself, Elvis Presley, and rockabilly supergroup 13 Cats, featuring Rockabilly superheroes Slim Jim Phantom and Lee Rocker from Stray Cats, as well as Danny B.Harvey of the Swinging Cats presents this incredible EP of Elvis early hits, stunningly recreated with authentic Presley vocal tracks recorded live in the mid-50s on the Louisiana Hayride radio program. This collaboration breathes new life into these rare early Elvis Presley recordings. Includes stunning recreations of Elvis very first number one hit records Thats All Right, Mama, Good Rockin Tonight, Blue Moon Of Kentucky and more. The result is interesting and makes one wish that Elvis had lived long enough to have a real jam session with the Stray Cats (of course if he had, The Colonel never would have allowed such a session). Most of the tracks sound pretty good. “Good Rockin Tonight” sounds like Elvis is singing through a megaphone, which is not a bad effect but takes a listen or two to get used too. They did not do a very good job of melding the old and new recordings on “Tweedle Dee” because it is obvious when they turn on and off the original recording. The others are not as obvious. Turn it up. Its gonen be some good rockin tonight
