Envig from Lidkoping, Sweden, was formed in 2015 as a crust punk project but evolved into something much heavier and darker. They crawled out from the undground in the 2018 with their gutwrenching debut album, By Human Hands. The album might have you thinking about war black metal ala Panzer Division Marduk. But even if this band is war obsessed its not black metal but old school Swedish death metal that crush everything in their (Left Hand) Path. Their follow up album, Gutwound, saw the light of day in April of 2022 and features 12 more tracks of gut ripping death metal tracks in the form of musical machinegun barrage. Envig is here to shred your guts.
