Erika was born and raised in the north of Sweden, she relocated to Stockholm as soon as she graduated from high school. Her dream was to become a famous rock chick and in 1990 she was approached by Bobby Ljunggren from Lionheart Records. Together with Hakan Almqvist, the trio produced one of Swedish most memorable pop rock hits of the 90s, known as ‘Together We’re Lost’. That song went almost straight to # 1 and made Erika an overnight success. Of course, that song also propelled the sales of her debut album ‘Cold Winter Night’ – originally released at the end of 1990 – to well beyond the gold status. The B-side of this single is an exclusive none album track, Second Of Eternity, which is another top notch AOR/pop track. It was only released on the vinyl single and not on the cd single and then it was even omitted as a bonus track from the remastered cd reissue of Cold Winter Night in 2004,which almost should be labeled a crime as its a superb track. So looking for a Swedish AOR queen that delivers catchy AOR stufff in the veins of Tone Norum, Heart and Robin Beck then look no further.
