Escarnium was conceived in 2007 in Salvador, Brazil, with the sole mission to make simple classic Death Metal in the vein of Old School Death Metal of the 80’s & 90’s. Their first proffesional EP Rex Verminorum gained numerous positive reviews from all over the world and this their highly anticipated debut full-length, Excruciating Existence, is a continuation down that road so fans of the band should be pleased. Escarnium combine the South American agression with the Scandinavian craft and the smell of grave is everywhere here. Crushing riffs, guttural growls and devastating drums – this is nothing but death metal terror played with lots of enthusiasm, passion and frenzy and the results are only great.
