Description
Black vinyl. Limited 200 copies
Etiquette Mona from Vadstena met in high school in 1977 in the sleepy Swedish town Motala. None of them could really play at first but the band rapidly merged influences of punk and new wave into their own frenetic brew and wrote their own material at a feverish speed, including the single Amsterdam, voted one of the 50 best Swedish pop-tunes ever. Despite raving reviews in the national music press Etiquette Mona failed to get any record company attention and after three years they exploded and died. The only testament so far has been that anomous vinyl single in a thin white paper sleeve. Now we finally get a compilation that captures the single and previously unheard bonus tracks. This band was so straight to the point and they never lost their sense of a strong melody. A mix between a faster version of Docent Död or a poppier Ebba Grön. Powerpop punk at its best
