One of the most glorious launches in history, the title track for the thrice-platinum The Final Countdown is so bombastically brilliant, such glorious garbage, that this nuclear hair assault could only spew from the vacuous 80s. When the new millennium came closer their label Sony Music wanted an updated version of this track to use for the final countdown of the old millennium. Joey Tempest re-worked the song and called it the blue version. However their label declined it and used Gary Miller and Brian Rawling to make a dance remix of the track. Brian Rawling, had previously had success with Believe by Cher. However the band werent happy with it and drummer Ian Haugland even called it a disaster.
