Description
Polish Pagan black metal act Evilfeast’s 2017 album Elegies Of The Stellar Wind pretty much runs down the same formula as the earlier works with only a few new elements to keep the bands sound fresh and inspired. The synth work on the album is a real breath of fresh air and has a very 80’s feel not unlike artists like Giorgio Moroder with the Scarface Soundtrack or like cult 80’s electronica soundtracks in Michael Mann’s Manhunter 1986, very melodic very melancholic and very beautiful at times. We also hae the dark and raw guitars and the vicious shrieks that are supposed to call vocals. These are the trademarks of the band but the band also use clean vocals that shine here more than ever. The album flows naturally between the fastest and the slowest sections, making the songs more entertaining and varied. In conclusion, Evilfeast has made a glorious comeback with Elegies Of The Stellar Windir, bringing us another milestone in its faultless discography.
