Polish Pagan black metal act Evilfeast’s 2011 album, Wintermoon Enchantment, is the fourth album and it featuers tunes, poetry, concepts and visions created, performed and produced by GrimSpirit at the Funeral Sound Studio between October 2010 and April 2011. Wintermoon Enchantment is another sprawling, epic slab of melodic black metal, dripping with atmosphere so cold it could freeze the balls off a dire wolf. This is less aggressive than the awesome, chainsaw guitar-fest of Funeral Sorcery, with a much more relaxed and melodic feel. Again, keys are a prominent element, but in an expansive, atmospheric way that does not dilute the compositions. The songs are long and densely written, with layer upon layer of riff-work and mood built up into a textured and involving sound. This is yest another epic black metal album in Evilfeasts faultless discography.
