Description
Excidium is a blackened thrash metal act from Poland, formed in Rzeszow back in 2006. This compilation features their first demo Infernal Oath (2007) and their Decimation promo demo (2010) as well as the material released on a split album with Bloodthirst that was released in 2009. People that want to think of themselves as the truest of the true will probably say that the first material is the best as it always is. Well the first demo is more dirty and black then anything they ever did after this. However personally i think this progress has been good for the band. And when the 2010 steps in you have a more pure thrash metal act. Here you have tracks such as Sacrament of Blasphemy and Vatican Semtex Destruction. Musically it’s pure 80’s worship, the German scene first and foremost, with bands like Destruction, Living Death, Kreator, but the vocals are slightly sharper. Add to that a bit of Exodus and here were go… Aggression is their second name. Razor sharp guitars are their sign. I know this scene is overcrowded with new kids pretending to be a new Exodus or Slayer or Kreator. And since most of them have absolutely no personality, one may dare to ask “do we need another such band then?”. Well, that’s a good question. And the answer is: “probably we don’t”. But why not check out something underground instead of new acts such as Bonded By Blood or Gama Bomb. There are underground bands out there with a lot of enthusiasm and passion for what they do. Grab a beer and listen to this album is fun and isnt that what its all about
