Excruciation By Silence is a Moscow band formed in 2012. During first years members and style often changed. By 2017 Excruciation by Silence released two EPs (Accession in 2016 and Endless Twist in 2017) before releasing their first full length album, Metal Madness, in 2021. Of the eight songs here six have metal in their titles so, it is definitely that kind of thrasher in terms of messaging, entirely intending to present heavy metal as lifestyle, fantasy, philosophy, spectacle and always in solidarity. Besides their own songs with fluid style of thrash riffs the band decided to include a cover tune. The band picked out an obscure jewel from the Midwest power-thrashers The Regime that calls for Tim Baker sized vocal howls up high to great effect. Surely a solid spin for any tech/power-thrasher in need of a fun kick that is easy to shriek and thrash along with. A moderately high recommendation.
