For many years the Good Friendly Violent Fun album would be the only available live recording with the almighty Steve Souza. That album was an 8-track recording made by Westwood One radio station at Fillmore in July of 1989. The Bonded By Thrash album were also recorded at The Fillmore in San Francisco but a few months later (2nd of April 1990). This album features a complete show from “The Fabulous Disaster Tour’, where half of the set list is made up of songs from the new album. The recording was made for the King Biscuit Flower Hour and features as much profanity-laced stage banter from Steve Souza as it does music. This was Exodus second phase, where Souza had replaced Paul Baloff four years earlier. Here they blast through a lively set that includes “Verbal Razors”, “Brain Dead” and “Like Father Like Son”. For an encore they do a note-for-note cover of Ac/Dc’s “Dirty Deeds Done Cheap”. Also included here is an interview with former guitarist and founding member, Kirk Hammett (Metallica) and two bonus live tracks recorded in New York back in 1985 with original vocalist Paul Baloff.
