Description
Double album on black vinyls with gatefold cover
Long Day Good Night is among Fates Warning most vital and most epic of their long career. Sometimes its very progressive and others its very heavy and yet they still managed to includes those wonderful hooks. Ray Alder voice has matured over the years and sounds more toned down compared to those high pitched screams on A Pleasant Shade Of Grey back in the 90s. The musicianship and songwriting when it comes to this band has always been freaking phenomenal. The album demands a few listens as a whole, from the beginning to the end. Because it has a little nuances and it flows so well together. In a way, it sounds like a more basic Theories Of Flight, but don’t let that deter you. The album is super good-maybe even a little more mature reflective Fates, but a masterpiece from beginning to end!
