This Russian band released its debut, Dance Of Druids, in 2009, which featured some cool ideas. On their second album, The Prediction, the band showed good progress and sounded more matured when they performed some nice viking/folk metal similar to bands such as Eluveitie, Arkona, Folkodia and Nordverg. Their third album, Achanterez, is even a further progress. On this album the band has given their folk influences more space and even taken a more melodic approach. The heroic atmosphere the band showed on the predecessors has made room for a more melancholic and dreamy atmosphere and the songs are more epic in their structure, which for me is a good thing. The new female vocalist, Ekaterina Godlevskaya is also a true addition to the band and the music. In general she sings more melodic than her predecessors, and has a lovelier, sweeter angel voice that makes the dream-like atmosphere even stronger. When this angel voice are interrupted by the male grunts it creates a stronger impact than before. The band however still lacks those really strong songs which makes the album quite monotonous and it needs several spins before it starts to grow on you. Fans of the genre will find alot to like on this disc but even though this is a step in the right direction the band still need to work on the songs to be able to compete with the major names
