Description
This Russian band released its debut, Dance Of Druids, in 2009, which featured some cool ideas. On this their second album, The Prediction, the band has made some progress and sounds a lot more matured. This album has evolved alot in the symphonic direction while still keeping their folk elements intact. The album features some ethnic female vocals by Natalia Gladkova and the male growl comes from Desmond and the two are backed up by choirs and orchestral arrangements, also parts of Western European folk instruments (bagpipe, Irish flute) and more traditional for Symphonic music, the cello, violin, viola and double bass. And it all adds to a very interesting folk symphonic metal album. Although I can’t understand the lyrics, it feels like its a concept album and as a whole its a joy to listen to it but ofcourse the songs works very well as individual songs too. Take Fenrir is an example, its a real beauty. Fans of bands such as Eluveitie, Arkona, Folkodia and Nordverg need to check this out
