FIB-Aktuellt was a Swedish magazine written in Swedish. The first issue came out in 1963 as a reportage magazine publice once a week. The magazine would use the same concept as the American Playboy, that is, slightly funny stories, serious articles and initially pictures of scantily clad women. From the late 1960s, the pornographic elements in both this and its main competitor Lektyr increased. After its heyday in the 70s the magazine faced increased competition in the 1980s, both from other men’s magazines and from the growing video industry. As a result of declining circulation figures, the magazine merged in 1982/1983 with its competitor Veckans Stopp (founded in 1980), under the name Stopp FIB aktuellt. In 1986, this magazine was again divided into two (where Veckans Stopp only survived for one year), after which the name again became FIB aktuellt – now with a monthly publication. In the new millennium the magazine was sold to a Danish company that started to publish it with a dvd but after a year it was down to only one issue every two months. The last printed issue was published in December 2024.
